Our matching algorithm considers your personality quiz answers, age, feedback from events and other factors to create compatible groups of people we think you'll love.

Blom events are either free or require tokens to join — the cost is shown on each event card. We sort the event organisation, group matching, and sometimes a deal at the partnered venue. You’ll just need to pay for any drinks or food at the venue.

We're a social app that organises in-person events for you to meet new people. But we ensure that events are clearly indicated as 'Singles' or 'Social' so that everyone knows what to expect.

Yes! Use the Buddy Up feature after joining an event to invite them and our matching algorithm will ensure you’re in the same group. They'll just need their own Blom profile.

Singles events are events that are specifically for people seeking something romantic. Our algorithm will also ensure an equal gender ratio for each group.

Social events are events that are specifically for people who are looking to make new friends and socialise. These events have no gender ratio requirements, although we do have some women-only events.

You'll receive your exact meeting location 24 hours before the event when groups are finalized. A group chat also opens when the event starts to help coordinate finding each other or let others know you're running late.

After each event, you can rate your experience and other participants. This feedback helps us improve future matches. Remember, every event is a new opportunity to meet different people!

Blom means “bloom” or “flower” in several languages - and we chose it because reflects both our South African roots and our mission. In a world of endless swiping and superficial interactions, Blom offers something more organic.

Your safety is our priority. All events are in public venues, and you can report inappropriate behavior through our in-app reporting feature.

We have a strict code of conduct for all events and users. We also have a reporting feature in the app for any inappropriate behavior.

Before an event, users only see anonymous group information, like nationalities and industries. After an event, if you and another user have both rated each other positively, you can see each other's first name and profile picture.

Yes, you can unmatch with someone at any time through the chat options menu.

No, tokens never expire! Purchase them when convenient and use them whenever you're ready to join an event.

You can get free tokens by inviting friends to Blom or by attending enough events (verified by QR scanning at the venue).
